■ 자기소개
현재 한양대학교 사범대학 수학교육과의 교수로 재직 중인 오병근 교수는 서울대학교 수학과를 졸업하고, 퍼듀 대학에서 박사학위를 취득하였다. 또한, 한양대학교에 부임하기 전에는 미 워싱턴 주립대학 및 한국고등과학원에서 근무하였다.
주요 연구 분야는 `일변수 해석학(complex analysis of one variable)`이고 주요 논문으로는 `Duality properties of strong isoperimetric inequalities on a planar graph and combinatorial curvatures`, `Aleksandrov surfaces and hyperbolicity` 등이 있으며, 이외에도 다수의 심도 있는 논문을 발표한 바 있다.
현재 대한수학회 회원으로 활동하고 있다.
