사범대학

영어교육은 현행 우리나라 중등교육 현장에서 핵심교과에 해당한다.
정보화, 세계화로 특징지어지는 미래 사회에서 국가 경쟁력을 높이고 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위해서는
영어의 의사 소통 능력을 함양하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다. 아울러 언어의 습득과 관련하여 인간에 대한 폭넓고
체계적인 지식은 물론 언어를 교육하는 장면에서 요구되는 제반 교육의 이론과 실제에 대한 전문적인 지식도 요구된다.
때문에 영어 사용능력과 효율적인 다양한 교수방법을 함양함은 물론 언어습득의 과정과 관련된 제반 이론을
학습함으로써 인간을 이해하는 영어교사의 양성이 필수적이다. 이에 사범대학의 영어교육과는 중등학교 영어교육을
의사소통 중심으로 유도하고 학생중심의 교육에 이바지 할 수 있는 인재양성에 그 목적을 두어 교육하고 있다.

학과 연혁

1983년. 3월 황명숙(영문학 전공), 배양서(영어교육 전공) 교수 부임. 제 1대 학과장 황명숙 교수. 학생 정원 30명으로 학과 신설 정원. 9월 김병원 교수(영어학 전공) 부임.

1986년. 3월 제 2대 학과장 배양서 교수. 9월 제 3대 학과장 황명숙 교수. 이영자 교수(응용언어학 전공) 부임.

1987년. 2월 김병원 교수 퇴임. 제 1회 졸업생 33명 배출.

1988년. 3월 제4대 학과장 배양서 교수. 제 2회 졸업생 32명 배출.

1989년. 3월 제 5대 학과장 이영자 교수. 김임득 교수(영어교육 전공) 부임.

제 3회 졸업생 26명 배출.

1990년. 제 4회 졸업생 37명 배출,

1991년. 3월 제 6대 학과장 김임득 교수. 제 5회 졸업생 44명 배출,

1992년. 제 6회 졸업생 29명 배출.

1995년. 2월 배양서 교수 퇴임. 3월 제 8대 학과장 이영자 교수. 안성호 교수(영어학 전공) 부임. 제 9회 졸업생 24명 배출.

1996년. 해외단기어학연수(Newcastle upon Tyne) 시작. 제 10회 졸업생 34명 배출.

1997년. 2월 황명숙 교수 정년 퇴임. 3월 제 9대 학과장 김임득 교수. 한문섭 교수(영어교육 전공) 부임. 정원 26명으로 조정. 제 11회 졸업생 29명 배출.

1998년. 제 12회 졸업생 23명 배출.

1999년. 3월 제 10대 학과장 안성호 교수. 제 13회 졸업생 32명 배출.

2000년. 9월 제 11대 학과장 한문섭 교수. 제 14회 졸업생 38명 배출.

2001년. 제 15회 졸업생 21명 배출.

2002년. 3월 제 12대 학과장 안성호 교수. 김성연 교수(영어교육 전공) 부임. 제 16회 졸업생 31명 배출.

2003년. I-STEP (일본 Nagasaki 대학, 필리핀 UST) 참여 시작. 제 17회 졸업생 18명 배출.

2004년. 3월 제 13대 학과장 이영자 교수. 제 18회 졸업생 33명 배출.

2005년. 제 19회 졸업생 23명 배출.

2006년. 3월 제 14대 학과장 김성연 교수. 제 20회 졸업생 29명 배출.

2010년. 3월 제 16대 학과장(연임) 한문섭 교수. 전유아 교수(코퍼스영어교육 전공) 부임. 제 24회 졸업생 38명 배출.

2011년. 3월 제 17대 학과장 안성호 교수. 제 25회 졸업생 22명 배출.

2012년. 9월 제 18대 학과장 김성연 교수. 제 26회 졸업생 29명 배출.

2013년. 제 27회 졸업생 35명 배출.

2014년. 9월 제 19대 학과장 전유아 교수. ‘예비영어교사 연수 프로그램’(말레이시아 MARA 대학교) 시작. 대학과 제 28회 졸업생 27명 배출.

2015년. 2월 이영자 교수 정년 퇴임. 제 29회 졸업생 19명 배출.

2016년. 9월 제 20대 학과장 한문섭 교수. 제 30회 졸업생 23명 배출.

2017년. 3월 제 21대 학과장 김성연 교수. ‘예비영어교사 연수 프로그램’(말레이시아 Nortingham 대학교) 개선. 제 31회 졸업생 32명 배출.

2018년. 3월 제 22대 학과장 전유아 교수. 제 32회 졸업생 20명 배출.

2019년. ‘예비영어교사 연수 프로그램’(말레이시아 Nortingham 대학교) 종료. 제 33회 졸업생 27명 배출.

2020년. 3월 제 23대 학과장 안성호 교수. 제 34회 졸업생 23명 배출.

History of the Department

1983. Prof. Hwang Myung-sook (English Literature major) and Bae Yang-seo (English Education major) were appointed in March. Prof. Hwang Myung-sook, the first chair of the Department. The Department was newly established with a student quota of 30. Prof. Kim Byung-won (English Literature major) was appointed in September.

1986. Prof. Bae Yang-seo, the 2nd chair of the Department in March. Prof. Hwang Myung-sook, the 3rd chair of the Department in September. Prof. Lee Young-ja (Applied Linguistics major) was appointed.

1987. Prof. Kim Byung-won was retired in February. The 1st class of 33 students graduated.

1988. Prof. Bae Yang-seo, the 4th chair of the Department in March. The 2nd class of 32 students graduated.

1989. Prof. Lee Young-ja, the 5th chair of the Department. Prof. Kim Im-deuk (English Education major) was appointed in March. The 3rd class of 26 students graduated.

1990. The 4th class of 37 students graduated.

1991. Prof. Kim Im-deuk, the 6th chair of the Department. The 5th class of 44 students graduated.

1992. The 6th class of 29 students graduated.

1993. Prof. Hwang Myung-sook, the 7th chair of the Department. The 7th class of 19 students graduated.

1994. The 8th class of 32 students graduated.

1995. Prof. Bae Yang-seo was retired in February. Prof. Lee Young-ja, the 8th chair of the Department. Prof. Ahn Sung-Ho (English Linguistics major) appointed in March. The 9th class of 24 students graduated.

1996. Started Short-term Language Program (Newcastle upon Tyne). The 10th class of 34 students graduated.

1997. Prof. Hwang Myung-sook was retired in February. Prof. Kim Im-deuk, the 9th chair of the Department. Prof. Han Moon-sub (English Education major) was appointed in March. The quota was adjusted to 26. The 11th class of 29 students graduated.

1998. The 12th class of 23 students graduated.

1999. Prof. Ahn Sung-Ho, the 10th chair of the Department in March. The 13th class of 32 students graduated.

2000. Prof. Han Moon-sub, the 11th chair of the Department in September. The 14th class of 38 students graduated.

2001. The 15th class of 21 students graduate.

2002. Prof. Ahn Sung-Ho, the 12th chair of the Department. Prof. Kim Sung Yeon (English Education major) was appointed in March. The 16th class of 31 students graduated. The 17th class of 18 students graduated.

2003. Started participating in I-STEP (Nagasaki University, Philippines, UST). The 17th class of 18 students graduated.

2004. Prof. Lee Young-ja, the 13th chair of the Department in March. The 18th class of 33 students Graduated.

2005. The 19th class of 23 students graduated.

2006. Prof. Kim Sung Yeon, the 14th chair of the Department in March. The 20th class of 29 students graduated.

2007. The 21st class of 35 students graduated.

2008. Prof. Han Moon-sub, the 15th chair of the Department in March. The 22nd class of 27 students graduated. The 23rd class of 37 students graduated.

2009. Prof. Kim Im-deuk was retired in August. The 23rd class of 37 students graduated.

2010. Prof. Han Moon-sub, the 16th chair of the Department in March (reappointment). Prof. Chon Yuah (Corpus English Education major) was appointed in March. The 24th class of 38 students graduated.

2011. Prof. Ahn Sung-Ho, the 17th chair of the Department in March. The 25th class of 22 students graduated.

2012. Prof. Kim Sung Yeon, the 18th chair of the Department in September. The 26th class of 29 students graduated.

2013. The 27th class of 35 students graduated.

2014. Prof. Chon Yuah, the 19th chair of the Department in September. Started the "Pre-service English Teacher Education Program" (Malaysia MARA University). The 28th class of 27 students graduated.

2015. Prof. Lee Young-ja was retired in February. The 29th class of 19 students graduated.

2016. Prof. Han Moon-sub, the 20th chair of the Department in September. The 30th class of 23 students graduated.

2017. Prof. Kim Sung Yeon, the 21st chair of the Department in March. Improve the "Pre-service English Teacher Education Program" (Malaysia Northingham University). The 31st class of 32 students graduated.

2018. Prof. Chon Yuah, the 22nd chair of the Department in March. The 32nd class of 20 students graduated.

2019. Ended the 'Pre-service English Teacher Education Program' (Malaysia Northingham University). The 33rd class of 27 students graduated.

2020. Prof. Ahn Sung-Ho, the 23rd chair of the Department in March. The 34th class of 23 students graduated.
